Tender process of Ataturk Airport International Terminal as one of the initial projects realized under “build-operate-transfer” has been subject to very successful implementations with respect to construction organization, financial structure of the investment and operating organization.

Within this Project, was the first implementation in Turkey, of the “Earthquake Isolators” that was later utilized for the earthquake reinforcement of also Grand Hotel Tarabya under management of Turner/ Pro^GE. Successful “post-tensioned concrete” execution practiced at the garage block is another worth-mentioning implementation as an aspect of construction method.

In this investment project carried out by TAV JV, completed 7 months earlier than the planned date, from Pro^GE Haluk Çapçı had undertaken the tender studies, and Hasan Barutçu and Selçuk Alten, were in the management board of the joint venture and conducted the management of the Project as the Managing Director and the General Manager respectively, of Tepe Construction Company.

In this Project Turner International performed Project and Construction Management services.

Approximately 264,000 m² Terminal Building Area, Multistorey Car park (7,076 Cars), 73,000 m² Apron, 3,000 m² Water Tank, Metro Station, 115m3 Capacity LPG Storage, 30.6m Height Apron Control Tower, 3,500m3/Hr Capacity Wastewater Treatment Plant, 6,500kg/Hr Garbage Disposal Facility, 45,000 m² Roads and 3,500 m² Viaducts, Shopping Mall and 5.336 m² Duty Free, 10.370 m² Restaurants, Bars, VIP and CIP Halls ve Lounges and Technical Service Areas
